Baldwin Real Estate Services was formed in 1973 as Baldwin Realty Company with one office and 10 agents in a 1,000 Sq. Ft. building on Baldwin Avenue, Arcadia, California. The founder was Gordon Maddock, the company's current President and Chairman, and has remained a family owned corporation since its inception.

Today Baldwin's staff of 90 serves clients throughout the San Gabriel Valley and the Inland Empire market areas in Southern California. Baldwin offers residential sales and marketing, financing, property management, investments, land acquisition, new home sales, relocation and REO/Lender services. The company has remained independent of any franchise and is one of the largest real estate companies in California. The history of Baldwin and its successful growth is outlined below.

1973 - Baldwin Realty Company opens its first office on Baldwin Avenue in Arcadia. The name Baldwin was a familiar name in the San Gabriel Valley because of Elias "Lucky" Baldwin who founded the City of Arcadia.

1977 - The Arcadia office is combined with Administration and Corporate Services

1978 - Baldwin opens the Glendora office across from City Hall.

1978 - Baldwin Realty Company, Inc becomes incorporated.

1978 - Builder Services Department established to provide land acquisition and new home sales.

1978 - Baldwin joins the Realty Register franchise system.

1978 - Relocation Services Department established managing Broker and Corporate referrals.

1981 - Baldwin becomes HomeEquity master broker.

1981 - Baldwin Financial Services established as a mortgage brokerage.

1981 - Baldwin Real Estate Management established as a property management division to manage investment properties and homeowner associations.

1983 - Baldwin corporate office building completed at 900 S First Avenue, Arcadia.

1983 - Baldwin becomes Baldwin Real Estate Services and drops its franchise affiliation.

1985 - Baldwin opens the Claremont office

1985 - Baldwin opens the Pasadena office

1992 - Baldwin opens the Temecula office

1994 - REO/Lender Services Department established.

1995 - Baldwin-Golden Real Estate Services established as a partnership with Dolores Golden in Culver City, California.

1996 - www.BaldwinRealty.com established as the official Company Website

1998 - Baldwin opens the Diamond Bar office

1998 - Baldwin opens the Moreno Valley office for the exclusive sale of HomeSteps properties in the Inland Empire.

1998 - Baldwin Real Estate Services celebrates its 25th Anniversary

2001 - Baldwin is recognized in Who's Who in Luxury Real Estate.

2003 - Baldwin joins RELO

2003 - Baldwin Real Estate Services celebrates its 30th Anniversary
